Commercial Property
We have a large team of commercial property lawyers who handle a wide range of commercial property matters across our offices. The team is headed by Simon Hale, a Director, who has 36 years legal experience and handles complex development finance matters as well as overseeing the department.
Our lawyers have experience in sales and purchases of commercial property, leases and all the various aspects associated with them acting for both landlords and tenants, development financing and a particular specialism in dealing with charity property matters to name just a few areas. Our Belper office team is headed by Jackie Abbott who has 20 years legal experience and our West Bridgford office team is headed by Luke Tattersall-Smith who has 14 years experience. Simon, Jackie and Luke are supported by a team of 7 lawyers including solicitors, legal executives and paralegals with between 1 and 15 years of experience in this field.
Our aim is to provide practical solutions to our clients. You can find out more information about our prices on our website but commercial property transactions each have their own unique aspects and so we are happy to provide a bespoke estimate on request.

However, if more than 5 documents are required for certification, please do contact one of our offices for a quote. (Please note, the possibility of certifying wills and Powers of Attorney are done on a case-by-case basis).
- Affidavits and Statutory declarations – £5 cash per declaration plus £2 per exhibit.
- Occupiers Consent Form – providing advice and witnessing the signing of an occupiers consent form – £50 + VAT.
Personal Guarantees – independent legal advice
If you are purchasing or re-mortgaging a property in a company name your lender will usually require the director(s) involved to provide a personal guarantee and to see an independent solicitor who can advise the director(s) on their obligations under the personal guarantee agreement.
We are able to advise the directors of the risks and their obligations when signing a personal guarantee and provide the certificate required by the lender’s solicitor to confirm the advice given.
We can provide this advice in person or online (if the lender involved allows it) to ensure that this step does not hold up the completion of the transaction.
