Ellis-Fermor & Negus are happy to announce that our new Charity of the year 2021 is the Joseph Cooper Trust!

We began our Charity of the Year scheme in 2002 as a way to give back to the local communities around our offices across Nottingham and Derbyshire. Over the years we are proud to have been associated with many excellent local charities and to have been able to play a small part in promoting their causes.

We are delighted to partner with the Joseph Cooper Trust to help raise awareness and support for children with life-limiting illnesses.

About the Joseph Cooper Trust

The Joseph Cooper Trust was set up to help provide small wishes to children with life limiting illnesses and to offer financial support to their families whilst going through treatment.

Based in the East Midlands, the Joseph Cooper Trust is a local, family run charity which was started in memory of Joseph Cooper who passed away in 2013 after a 6 year battle with cancer.  The Trust aims to raise money to support children and their families in a number of ways such as funding special respite breaks and day trips for families, or helping with transport to hospital appointments.

During the coronavirus pandemic the charity has been able to provide children with special gifts to help them cope with long periods at home whilst they shield. The Trust has been able to give toys, laptops and tablets as well as many other gifts to children undergoing or recovering from treatment.

Our partnership

Throughout the year, we will take part in fundraising events to help raise awareness and support for the Joseph Cooper Trust and contribute to their fantastic work.

Tracy Cooper, the founder of the Trust, said:

“I am thrilled that we have been chosen as your charity of the year. 2020 was particularly tough due to the COVID restrictions, and fundraising during this time has been extremely limited. We need the support to be able to continue with the charity and keep putting a smile on the children’s faces which is what this is all about.”
