Charity of the Year
At Ellis-Fermor & Negus, we are committed to supporting local charities working in the communities around our offices. Each year we nominate a charity to help raise their profile as well as providing financial support. Over the years we have partnered with a number of excellent local charities. We are proud to have played a part in supporting their causes.
Our Charity of the Year is The Will Garvey Trust Foundation
The Will Garvey Trust Foundation was created by Will’s parents following his death by suicide at 20 years old. The foundation’s goal is that no-one else should experience suicide or the loss of a loved one to suicide. Their main aim is to prevent suicide through the development of early intervention projects and campaigns, working primarily with young people and the people who care for them, including families and friends.
Based in Ilkeston, some of the foundation’s initiatives include; Wellbeing Libraries in schools and colleges, running workshops with local sports clubs/youth groups and apprenticeship training organisations and a scheme for ‘Wellbeing packages’ to be presented to young people in need of support and guidance.
