Simon is a Solicitor currently working in the Commercial Property Department at our Beeston office. His work is varied and he enjoys working with churches, charities and businesses on a purchase, sale, lease, and property trusteeship transfers. He regularly assists individuals with independent guarantee advice appointments when they are buying or re-financing a property through their limited company. During his training contract, Simon gained experience of Commercial Property and Charity Law, Residential Property, Wills & Probate and Family Law, assisting and shadowing experienced solicitors across our offices.
Simon studied for his LLB Law undergraduate degree at Oxford Brookes University. He then spent 6 months living in North-East Brazil, leading a Tearfund gap year project there. When he returned to the UK, he completed a Children & Youth internship at St. Aldates, Oxford before working as a Youth Pastor at Oxford Community Church. Once that position ended, he completed his Legal Practice Course with a Masters in Professional Legal Practice (LPC LLM) as part of the first intake of the University of Law in Reading. He then spent two and a half years working as a paralegal in Guildford and then Reading, working in the areas of Commercial Debt Recovery and Professional Regulation.
Originally from Reading, Simon enjoys playing or keeping track of a variety of sports, including tennis, table-tennis, badminton, spikeball, F1 and skiing. However, his main passion is football and is a proud follower of Reading FC! He has also completed three half marathons in the past 5 years – Oxford in 2021, Robin Hood Half (Notts in 2024) and Reading in 2025. His personal best time is 1h53! Simon and his wife moved to Nottingham in November 2021. They love travelling and being a part of Trent Vineyard Church where they serve in the kids, youth and worship bands.
