Sonja qualified as a Solicitor in 1999 after studying Law and undertaking a Legal Practice Course at the University of Sheffield. Since qualification Sonja has worked primarily in Residential Conveyancing, with a short spell mixing this with Wills & Probate during her early career.

Sonja has worked as a Residential Conveyancer for almost 20 years and joined Ellis-Fermor & Negus in 2009.

Sonja’s main area of work is Residential Conveyancing and she enjoys the challenge of this fast-paced area of law, helping people during, what can be, a stressful yet exciting time of their lives.

Sonja attends St Werburgh’s church in Derby. She is married with three children and in her spare time, her favourite way to relax is a long walk in the countryside with her family.
