Richard is married with two young children. Originally from the south, Richard and his wife moved to Derbyshire 10 years ago to be closer to her family. He says ‘I love this part of the Midlands – the views up the Amber and Derwent valleys have to be some of the most beautiful in country.’  He enjoys music, and in his spare time plays the guitar, piano, sings and also writes his own music.  He was at one time a part of the worship band at All Saints Church, Ripley.
